Welcome to our Centre

Welcome to Kilsyth Early Learning Centre, proudly owned by Guardian Childcare & Education!

Our childcare centre in Kilsyth caters for children aged 6 weeks – 6 years, providing them with a ‘home away from home’ where they can learn and grow.

Children experience an exciting program, where they learn through play. At our Kilsyth child care, we ensure children always have opportunities to engage their natural curiosity. From the way we read stories, to the fun educational resources that fill our rooms, we aim to inspire awe and curiosity in everything we do.

On any given day your child may be exploring our outdoor environments, participating in music classes, learning about food and nutrition, learning self-care through regular yoga and mindfulness practice or learning about diversity through exposure to a wide range of cultures.

.The indoor spaces at our Centre balance calming, natural resources with pops of gentle colours. The children have access to a wide range of quality resources that align with their interests and developmental needs. They can read books, play with toys or create their own imaginative play adventures.

The inspiring natural outdoor space is ideal for discovery and play. We believe in encouraging a connection to nature from a young age. Not only does it encourage a necessary appreciation and respect for our planet, but it creates a sense of calm and wonder as nothing else can. From the teepee to the sandpit, bikes, stepping stones and impressive fort, the children develop their physical and gross motor skills while they play outdoors. Large windows connect the indoor and outdoor spaces to offer flexibility in our program.

We also offer a comprehensive, government-approved Kindergarten program, designed to prepare each child for a smooth transition to primary school.

All children attending our Kilsyth day care centre will have access to engaging, resource-rich environments, with:

  • An experienced, qualified team who focus on building strong relationships with children and families
  • Unique outdoor play spaces ready for hours of exploration
  • Incredible learning programs to support children’s curiosity and creativity
  • Nutritious and tasty meals and snacks, all prepared fresh on-site daily

We value the strong relationships we build with our community; our organised morning teas give families the opportunity to properly connect.

We even provide healthy take home meals, available from our kitchen – perfect for busy families.

Each day we upload photos to Kindyhub showing what activities the children have been participating in. Our educators also record other health and wellbeing observations such as what your child has eaten and their nappy changes/visits to the toilet.

With a bus stop at the door, our Kilsyth long day care centre is easy to access via public transport. Families can also use the onsite, undercover car park for added convenience. We’re a short drive to Kilsyth Primary School, Gladesville Primary School and Ruskin Park Primary School.

The Victorian Government offers funding to provide families up to 15 hours of Free Kindergarten a week, in addition to the Childcare Subsidy. The funding offsets the fees for three and four-year-old children that are part of the Centre’s long day care Kindergarten program. Families will save up to $2,050 a year for children aged three years old and above in eligible long day cares in 2024. Ask us for more information when you visit our Centre.
