Rhythm of The Day
With endless possibilities, there’s never a dull moment at Guardian and no two days are the same. Here’s what a day at Guardian might look like. Please note, this will vary depending on centre opening hours.
-
Morning
Handover time with children, families and our friendly Educators. There's a chance for conversation to share what's important for the day/what's happened the night before at home.
-
Morning
Breakfast time where families are welcome to stay and enjoy breakfast with the children.
-
Morning
As children are arriving and families are coming and going, there's an opportunity for play as well as family grouping, open-plan play and multi-age grouping.
-
Morning
As the children come together, planned experiences begin. This is where the Guardian programs and practices come to life. Examples of learning include numeracy, literacy, language, critical thinking, problem solving, leadership, social skills, technology, science, creative arts, curiosity and more.
-
Morning
There's an opportunity for children to come together and enjoy morning tea.
-
Mid-morning
Following morning tea, the planned experiences continue. This includes both indoor and outdoor programs.
-
Afternoon
There's an opportunity for children to come together for lunch. With an open-door policy, families are able to join the centre for meals and excursion if they wish.
-
Afternoon
For children who want to, or need to, there's an opportunity to sleep, rest or relax. For children who don't need to rest, there are planned experiences, which are more likely to be outdoors.
-
Afternoon
Children come together for afternoon tea in small groups or with siblings (they can also rest and play together, too). This time also presents an opportunity to reflect on the day.
-
End of the day
As families arrive to pick up children, there's an opportunity to speak to Educators and share information about the day.
-
End of the day
Some centres offer early tea or light snack at the end of the day, which they can grab as they leave the centre. We’re mindful of how routines vary at home, so if throughout the day, we notice children look tired, food will be provided.
All the staff at Guardian are lovely. We've been coming here for years and have always felt comfortable handing our little girl over in the morning, knowing that she's going to have a great time with the educational activities, she's going to eat amazingly well from the on-site chef and she's going to have lots of fun with her friends. It's also in a quiet, leafy, family-friendly setting and has a wonderful outdoor space for play.
I'm currently doing my Cert III in Early Childhood Education and Care placement at this centre and it’s been such a positive experience so farThe educators are supportive, knowledgeable, so supportive of my studies, and always happy to help me.The centre has a warm, welcoming atmosphere and the learning environments are so well thought out. I’ve learned so much about children’s development, planning experiences, and building strong relationships.I feel really lucky to be part of such a professional and caring team!
Guardian Coromandel Valley provides our daughter with a nurturing environment and quality early learning programs. She is thriving and we couldn't be more proud of her. Thank you to the team and management of the centre.
Guardian at Coromandel Valley is the best Centre in the South. My Son has received the utmost care, and loves going to childcare every day since enrolling! He loves all his educators, and has grown in confidence and skills. Communication from the staff, and Centre, is outstanding. I know he is in the best of hands, and he absolutely loves the Chef and showing her his cars every morning!
My grandson recently transferred from another childcare and has settled in so well. All the staff are friendly and really care for all the children. What could have been a sad time for my grandson was an easy, happy event. Thank you to all staff for making that possible
I can’t speak any higher of Guardian Coromandel Valley. My son settled so quickly, and he adores every single educator in the centre, even those that aren’t in his room! The food prepared by the chef is amazing (if only we could all have a personal chef to feed us nutritious meals each day!) and I love how well the team communicate what the kids have been learning and enjoying - daily posts on Storypark and a Fortnightly newsletter to keep the community engaged, just to name a couple of ways they stay in touch.Speaking of community - the centre really supports the local community and businesses. With a community pantry (a wonderful act of kindness for the families with no questions asked) and a local coffee van visiting each week!Guardian Coromandel Valley really is one of a kind. We love it :)
My son attends Guardian Coromandel Valley and absolutely loves it! From the moment we arrive, he’s always excited to see his friends and the friendly educators who make him feel right at home. The staff are warm, welcoming, and genuinely care about the children, they’ve created such a safe and nurturing environment. There are always plenty of fun and engaging activities that keep him stimulated and happy throughout the day. He comes home talking about what he’s done and can’t wait to go back. I also really appreciate how well fed and cared for he is, drop-offs and pick-ups are always a breeze because he’s happy and settled.I feel so lucky to be part of the Guardian Coromandel Valley community. Highly recommend.
My sons love the Guardian! They have told me they wanted to go to childcare even on the days that aren't their childcare days :) They have had wonderful learning experiences in the safe and fun environment. All educators are lovely, caring and enthusiastic - they do well with documenting and communicating with you through the app and also verbally. Play areas and activities both indoor and outdoor can't be any better. I'm very happy we have this high quality childcare locally!

We have been at Guardian Coromandel Valley for 2.5 years now. The centre has always put the needs of the kids first and the staff have always been welcoming and willing to support with anything we have needed. The grounds are lovely and the rooms have a variety of activities to keep little minds busy. The programmed activities each day are not only fun but have clear links to the EYLF and I love the emphasis on natural/recycled materials. My boys have always felt supported and safe at the centre even through the challenges of navigating toddlerhood. I definitely recommend this centre to others!

The team at Guardian Coromandel Valley feel like family. The genuine care they have for my child is so special and so appreciated. The activities are beyond anything I could imagine and my child is so happy going there. I love how safe and secure the centre feels, being set back from the road and elevated up high. I would not hesitate recommending this centre to another family.

I am so happy with Guardian Childcare Coromandel Valley🥰My baby loves spending time there, and it gives me peace of mind knowing they are in such a caring and fun environment. What I appreciate the most are the engaging activities the educators plan and the regular updates they share with parents. It's such a joy to see photos and posts showing my baby smiling, playing and learning. These updates truly brighten my day🥰Thanks to all the educators and the front staff🥰🙏I highly recommend Guardian Coromandel Valley to any parent looking for a safe and supportive place🥰
Best childcare centre ever!!All the staff are amazing, they really care and look after your child.
The staff at Coromandel Guardian make you feel like family. Big shout out to Lisa & Brooke the managers who always make my family feel welcome. My son is thriving in the nursery room. He is really coming out of shell and learning new skills. Kathryn is without a doubt the best caring for our little boy.
Hands down the best daycare in the Adelaide hills
Our children are very comfortable here and we see the educators making big efforts to make them feel this way. They are all very friendly to us parents too.

Excellent childcare for my 17month old. He is cared for and given engaging activities that enrich his education. He can now clear his bowl, wipe down his table and is communicating with others better.
My children absolutely love coming to Guardian at Coromandel Valley. It’s a beautiful centre with a lovely big garden to explore. The rooms are set up beautifully and my children always say how yummy the food is. The staff are really lovely and engaging and admin updates are really handy with the app they use. We’ve had a lot of tours with other centres and this one was far by the best. Would 100% recommend, We love it here.
We have had a very good experience sending our children to Guardian. The staff are the biggest factor. They're warm, enthusiastic, attentive and communicate well with each other and myself regarding our kids. The centre environment and facilities are also fantastic in my eyes. I love the layout at Coromandel Valley. The open flow and crossover across the different age areas; the large, shared outdoor area with places to take risks and get dirty or play quietly; the well-balanced feel of bright colours and activities with natural colours and materials; and the dining areas and approach to eating times.
In my opinion, it couldn't be better.Amazing staff and environment for kids to grow and learn.

Our son loves going to Guardian at Coromandel Valley. The centre is so nice and open and the outdoor area is amazing. We have noticed how much our son has developed over the past few months and he gets excited when we arrive. The staff are all so friendly and greet us every time we arrive. At the end of the day at pick up they go through what our son has done, what he has eaten and how long he had slept for, which I find very important. I would definitely recommend Guardian at Coromandel Valley.
Beautiful centre, facilities and location! The staff have been so welcoming since we started - they have been incredibly attentive and accommodating too. My daughter has wonderful learning experiences and everything is well documented and a joy to read. Staff in the setting are always so friendly and polite with me and very nurturing towards my daughter - nothing is too much hassle for them. The menu is healthy and varied - there is always an alternative for my fussy eater too, which I love! Thank you Guardian Coromandel Valley... I highly recommend this centre.
