I usually don't like to leave reviews and will only do so if a business truly shines in what they do. I am an older mother and have been anxious about having to navigate outside care for my child. Like many of us seeking childcare options in the inner west, there are long waiting lists to contend with and it requires a lot of forward planning. More unneeded stress. Well, I couldn't believe my luck when I got my child into Guardian Lilyfield. To be honest, this centre initially wasn't my first pick. But the last two years have proven that this accidental choice, was such a great decision. I should have made this centre my first choice. This is a hidden gem of a centre, tucked away in the inner west. The class sizes are just right, the overall vibe of the centre is joyous, the layout of the rooms and play areas are ideal, the other children attending and their parents are lovely and respectful and there's onsite parking. And, above all, the Guardian Lilyfield staff are superb and children centric. Their administration team are responsive, supportive, easy to talk to and caring, which makes my life easier. And I have become more attached to the carers than my child has, and my child is pretty attached. This has made all the difference for those transitions and drop offs. In terms of the learning curriculum for my toddler, it is interactive, playful and thoughtful. My husband and I love the transparency of the day to day activities, where parents get to see the learnings via an app. We are always asked feedback on what to improve and every carer will give us an update at the end of the day on how our little one went without prompting - very telling on how much they care about the children. Thank you Guardian for relieving my nerves and making our child's first years special. I cannot recommend this centre enough.

We’ve had an amazing experience with Guardian so far. From the duckling to now the butterfly room. Our educators and carers have offered nothing but exceptional care to our little one every step of the way.Their facilities are clean, tidy, foods are nutritious and they always strive to improve seeking feedback where applicable.We love sending our little one to the butterfly room as we’ve seen noticeable changes in their development as they teach, support the growth of our child and reinforce day in day out with fun activities.We would like to thank the guardian team (butterfly room) for the development of our child providing such a safe, supportive learning environment.

The recent updates at Guardian Lilyfield have truly transformed the space! The new furniture and resources have made the environment even more inviting, and it’s wonderful to see how much the children are enjoying them. My daughter has made great friends in both the children and educations in the Butterfly room at Guardian Lilyfield. The centre and facilities are great and the educators are so kind and caring! They always take the time to update me on my daughters day at pick up and have helped make our transition from the UK a lot easier. I look forward to our second daughter attending in 2023.

We've had both of our kids go to Guardian Lilyfield and couldn't be happier. The educators are amazing, they truly care about the children and their development. Many of them have been there for years, which makes it special when you have siblings being taught by the same educators over the years.Also love the big outdoor spaces for the children, as well as the easy parking for drop offs - both a rarity in the inner west.

The educators are wonderful people. They have looked after our kids for 3 years now, and have helped them grow and develop through such important stages of life. Their supportive, gentle, caring and calm team helped both my son and daughter when they began childcare. The teachers are the reason we are so passionate about this centre and really make it feel like a community.

Guardian Lilyfield is fantastic. The educators are amazingly patient, creative and nurturing of each child's needs. They prepare lovely learning experiences that reflect their knowledge of the childrens' interests and their developmental levels. The centre has an excellent curriculum and program for babies to pre-schoolers. The educators in particular have been excellent in looking after Gabby and the rest of the kids in the Sunflowers room and have been instrumental in his growth. I could not ask for more in the care they provide.

We moved postcodes at the start of the year which meant having to find a new Daycare - a stressful experience. But Guardian compared to the others in the area were so accomodating and helpful. We couldn’t be more happier with our experience there. Our daughter has been going to Guardian for 10 months now, and she’s developed so many skills, and comes home full of tales about her day and the friends she’s played with. Love this daycare Centre. My daughter has been attending for 3 years now and I couldn’t be happier. The staff and educators are amazing and attentive to the children’s needs. Guardian Lilyfield has been my second home and also for my children . I’ve been here for the last 11 working years and I feel supported by my coworkers as they nurture and teach the best things to our children. They look forward to going to day care everyday and this makes us feel that they are well looked after and cared for. The centre has been well managed by our director and she does her work to fully support families and the rest of the community.

This is an amazing centre where you feel welcomed as soon as you step inside the front door. When I first came into the centre I felt it was very warm and inviting and they had great set ups in each play space. My daughter loves going here and we love watching how supported and nurtured she is by all the wonderful educators at the centre. We have been going to this centre for many years and we cannot wait to send our son too as we know both of our children will be well looked after and supported in their education and development.

We can not recommend Guardian enough. Great educators that really cares about the kids as individuals and as a group. Great playful learning and friendly nurturing environment. Always a smile to greet parents dropping off or picking up. Great outdoor and indoor play and full of warm hearts. Both our kids and cousins have gone to the centre and its been an amazing experience.

With endless possibilities, there’s never a dull moment at Guardian and no two days are the same. Here’s what a day at Guardian might look like. Please note, this will vary depending on centre opening hours.

Handover time with children, families and our friendly Educators. There’s a chance to share what’s important for the day and any news from home.

Breakfast time where families are welcome to stay and enjoy breakfast with the children.

An opportunity to play and discover with open-plan play in family groups and multi-age groupings.

Planned experiences. This is where the Guardian difference comes to life. Alongside our Educators your child’s exploration leads to learnings in numeracy, literacy, language, critical thinking, problem solving, leadership, social skills, technology, creative arts and much more.

An opportunity for children to come together for a healthy snack, often they help prepare their food alongside our carers and cook.

Mid-morning
Individually tailored to your child’s needs and curiosity the planned experiences continue, this includes both indoor and outdoor programs.

Another nutritious meal expertly prepared by our cook. Families are invited to join the children for meals and excursions if they wish.

If your child wants to, or needs to sleep, it’s time to rest and recharge. For children who don’t need to rest the planned experiences continue, in most cases outdoors.

Another chance for the children to come together and re-fuel in small groups. There is also an opportunity to rest or play together and reflect on the day.

As you arrive to pick up your child, there’s a chance to speak with our Educators and share news about the day. Our Storypark App also allows you to stay in touch 24/7 wherever you are.

Your child is encouraged to grab a light snack before they leave the centre. We’re mindful of how routines vary, throughout the day if we notice your child looking tired food will be provided.

This can help to make your child’s first day less daunting, particularly if they are new to long daycare or early learning. We welcome babies as young as six weeks, and work with families through the age stages until finally preparing our older children for the exciting transition to primary school with our leading Preschool Program. Our Preschool Program is specifically designed and delivered to prepare your child for the exciting transition to primary school – all with the added benefit of long care hours for our families.

Our Centre Manager Danielle and her wider team have been with the Centre for many years, providing a great sense of stability for our children and families. Our team of dedicated and caring educators will welcome your child in a nurturing environment.
With great resources and amazing indoor and outdoor spaces, your child will have the room to explore and flex their curiosity and creativity. Our playgrounds are designed as a place of wonder and inspiration, and we have three separate spaces to meet the developmental needs for children of all ages. There are veggie patches to care for, a mud kitchen and water pump to ignite the imagination and promote thinking around maths and science. We have quiet spaces to relax and places for active play where children can ride their bikes, climb and run. Our outdoor art room and beautiful deck with al fresco dining provide multiple opportunities for outdoor experiences.
You’ll be kept up to date through our family communication app, StoryPark, and our unique Visible Learning Program gives you a great understanding of your child’s learning for the day at pick up. It will give you plenty to talk about with them on the drive home!
Fun and confidence-boosting local excursions for all ages, including to the always popular Hippo Park! We also offer long care hours, support with the Child Care Subsidy and an on-site chef who prepares fresh and delicious meals each day.
