Rhythm of The Day
With endless possibilities, there’s never a dull moment at Guardian and no two days are the same. Here’s what a day at Guardian might look like. Please note, this will vary depending on centre opening hours.
-
Morning
Handover time with children, families and our friendly Educators. There's a chance for conversation to share what's important for the day/what's happened the night before at home.
-
Morning
Breakfast time where families are welcome to stay and enjoy breakfast with the children.
-
Morning
As children are arriving and families are coming and going, there's an opportunity for play as well as family grouping, open-plan play and multi-age grouping.
-
Morning
As the children come together, planned experiences begin. This is where the Guardian programs and practices come to life. Examples of learning include numeracy, literacy, language, critical thinking, problem solving, leadership, social skills, technology, science, creative arts, curiosity and more.
-
Morning
There's an opportunity for children to come together and enjoy morning tea.
-
Mid-morning
Following morning tea, the planned experiences continue. This includes both indoor and outdoor programs.
-
Afternoon
There's an opportunity for children to come together for lunch. With an open-door policy, families are able to join the centre for meals and excursion if they wish.
-
Afternoon
For children who want to, or need to, there's an opportunity to sleep, rest or relax. For children who don't need to rest, there are planned experiences, which are more likely to be outdoors.
-
Afternoon
Children come together for afternoon tea in small groups or with siblings (they can also rest and play together, too). This time also presents an opportunity to reflect on the day.
-
End of the day
As families arrive to pick up children, there's an opportunity to speak to Educators and share information about the day.
-
End of the day
Some centres offer early tea or light snack at the end of the day, which they can grab as they leave the centre. We’re mindful of how routines vary at home, so if throughout the day, we notice children look tired, food will be provided.
Receiving the feedback after my child's transition to prep at the parent teacher interviews really cemented the amazing job the team here had done in preparing my son for school. He went to school confident and ready to learn. My younger son also attends here and I am constantly impressed how well the team know my child and make sure he is safe, having fun and learning. Thanks team!

Could not rate the care for my child here any better thank you for all the educators that give their all in this workplace
We’ve attended the centre for 3 years. The centre leadership and team truly care. Both my children have the most incredible relationships with their educators, the communication is excellent and the program offered is so considered. I love seeing their daily activities including their nature walks! My child was diagnosed with a food allergy during our time here and the team have been very supportive and accommodating. We are very lucky to be part of such a great community!
I cannot say enough wonderful things about this daycare! My son, who is now 4 years old, has been attending for the past 3 years, and it has been an amazing experience for both of us. Every morning, he eagerly looks forward to going, which speaks volumes about how much he loves his time there. The educators are incredibly warm, friendly, and dedicated, creating a nurturing environment where the kids feel safe, loved, and excited to learn. The facility itself is fantastic — clean, spacious, and thoughtfully designed to engage the kids in a variety of activities. I also love that they provide delicious, healthy meals, ensuring my son is fueled with the best food throughout the day. It truly feels like a second home for him, and I am so grateful for the positive impact it's had on his growth and development. If you're looking for a daycare that combines care, education, and fun, this is absolutely the place!

We’ve experienced two different daycares, including a family daycare, and one thing we’ve learned is how important it is to find a care environment that suits your child’s temperament. For us, Guardian has been absolutely amazing for our child.I can send my daughter there with complete peace of mind, trusting that she’s in the hands of caring and capable educators who genuinely understand and support her needs. One of the most heartwarming aspects has been seeing my child make great friendships, which I feel is a true reflection of the quality of care provided. My child genuinely enjoys going and is always excited to start her day there - another big indicator of how well she's thriving. There is also a peaceful sense throughout the centre, and all the full-time staff are incredibly caring. My child has attended since the nursery stage and, being slow to warm, drop-offs can sometimes be tricky. However, the educators are always patient and stay with my child until she feels settled. I’ve even received photos showing her sitting with an educator until she feels comfortable venturing off on her own. This reflects the type of tailored care they provide - ensuring my child isn’t prematurely pushed into situations that might distress her but is instead supported at her own pace.Another standout aspect is that I never feel like just a number at the centre. The educators and centre manager, truly care about the families. The administration team is equally impressive. Their communication is timely, proactive, and clear, which makes a huge difference for busy parents. It’s such a relief to know we’re always in the loop and that any concerns or updates are handled efficiently.Guardian has exceeded my expectations in every way, and I couldn’t be happier with the care and support we’ve received. Highly recommend!Edit:I understand that no centre is perfect, but the culture at Guardian is something that has been a non-negotiable for our family. While I’ve heard that some centres are more or less the same, we have found that the previous centre was quite condemning in their approach, was quick to correct and didn't approach mistakes with grace (and let's face it, kids are going to make mistakes). I have found the general culture at Guardian to be one of respect and empowerment, which is incredibly important to us in how we want to raise our daughter.

Good environment. Centre Manager is friendly, organised, supportive and helpful. Educators are happy and always keen to help and provide good care to children.
Great, friendly staff. Only childcare I've known to provide swap days on a public holiday. Great value!
My son is happy and healthy here. The educators are kind and compassionate and fill his days with fun and have the right mixture of play and learning, exploring his interests. Communication is good I like the app where I get photos and updates about his day from time to time.
A very well run centre with fantastic staff. You can tell that every single person there really cares. They're very engaged and the communication level is great.

My daughter loves going to the centre on her scheduled days. She has made so many friends and there are always lots of different activities planned throughout the day to keep her busy and active. All the staff and educators are so lovely and we are so happy with her progress
Amazing supportive Educators and Kindy teacher. Friendly and professional centre leadership team. High quality learning and engaging environments for children. My son loves the lake walks and tennis coaching they provide for the Kindy class.
After visiting a number of Childcare centres in the area, I knew as soon as I walked in this was the one. Staff are super friendly, management keeps you informed and the nursery rooms are clean. Educators are always willing to provide an update about my daughters day and if there is an incident no matter how minor they always call which I appreciate. Daughter always comes home clean which is pretty impressive. Highly recommend this daycare.

My child has found his place of belonging at Guardian Springfield Lakes. We are all welcomed so warmly everyday and I love that my child is celebrated and encouraged to be himself in the best possible way with the best possible support from the team. The leadership team is phenomenal, constant communication and updates, which is always appreciated.
Great management team, well run, new facilities. My son loves the nature walks and my daughter loves their kindy program. Definitely recommend 👍
The communication about my sons learning is clear and visible. I like how there has been active community engagement being made through the spring lake walks that has started in the younger age groups. The team has been consistent since opening so that relationships can be maintained.
Such a beautiful centre with beautiful educators and management 💗
As soon as I walked into Guardian Springfield Lakes I knew that it was where I wanted my child to attend. The experience we have had has been outstanding. The educators care about the children and you feel so much joy from the centre. We are warmly greeted each day when we walk in wether it be by Hayley, Dani or Jemma. My child’s educators Emma, Kiki and Chloe always go above and beyond and I love seeing what they have been up to during the day via the daily storypark posts.
